H.S.E. for Oil and Gas Operations

Overview

This course is designed to enhance the participant’s ability to handle HSE challenges in their daily work environment. The course provides a solid understanding of how HSE is planned and executed and put into practice.

After completing this course, the participants will be in a better position to understand the significance of HSE work in their workplace, business and their private life. This course will also reinforce their commitment to working with HSE.

H2S

Overview

This course will ensure that the student will obtain thorough knowledge of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), its physical properties, hazards and the regulations surrounding it.

This one-day course is intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who could be exposed to Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S). Each student is required to operate self-contained breathing apparatus, a detector tube device, and participate in CPR and rescue lift and drag exercises.

Detection & Control of Flammable Substances

Overview

This course is designed to familiarize petroleum industry workers with the hazards of flammable substances, precautionary measures for working in environments where flammable substances are present, and proper detection practices using catalytic detection instruments.

This course is designed for personnel working with or near flammable substances in the oil and gas industry.

Fire Fighting

Overview

Upon successful completion of this course the participant will have the knowledge and skills required to be a competent member of an Industrial Fire Brigade Response Team. Through exposure to hands-on scenarios, theory and practice, the learner will develop the ability, skills and knowledge to handle fires of an increased complexity

Rig Rescue

Overview

Covered in this course are demonstration and proper utilization of rig rescue systems, proper selection and use of rescue equipment, devices and components, and all relevant legislation.

This course is designed rig workers, supervisors, managers and safety personnel.

WHMIS

Overview

Workplace accidents and illnesses often result from workers not knowing about the hazards of the products they are handling. WHMIS was developed to deal with this problem. It is a system for making sure that important information about hazardous materials is passed on to the people who handle those products.

The information provided in this course will provide rig workers with an understanding of the basic principles of fall protection. The goal of this training is to prevent falls and minimize fall related injuries in the drilling and service sectors of the Oil and Gas industry by providing rig workers with the basic knowledge and hands on training associated with fall protection.
