IWCF and IADC Virtual Training and Assessments

IWCF  and IADC have approved the introduction of virtual classroom training in 2020. This solution has allowed the two organizations to accommodate the requirement for training during COVID-19 pandemic, while maintaining their high standards and integrity.

IOTS uses a virtual training platform called ZOOM to simulate a face to face instructor led teaching environment.

To accommodate the introduction of practical virtual assessments IOTS has been accredited the use of Virtual simulators.

Remote invigilation was introduced to accommodate the introduction of theoretical virtual assessments. The assessments are monitored by remote invigilators, for IWCF it is through VICTVS ltd. For IADC it is through ProctorU. The monitoring is conducted by a live person in real time and is recorded for auditing purposes.

To register for IWCF virtual training candidates need to provide a previous IWCF or IADC Certificate. If a candidate does not have a previous well control certificate, they must submit a letter from the candidate’s employer requesting dispensation to attend the virtual assessments instead of classroom-based assessments.

Candidates need to register with IOTS at least 10 days prior the exam date along with the completed IWCF virtual requirement checklist provided by the center. For IADC the registration is 5 days prior.

So many of our candidates have thoroughly enjoyed taking the Virtual Course as it not only saves them on cost but also allows them to spend time at home.
